Badminton is more than just a sport — for Malaysians, it is part of our national identity. From school courts in Kelantan to air-conditioned halls in Kuala Lumpur, badminton runs in our blood. And when names like Lee Zii Jia, Aaron Chia, Wooi Yik, Pearly Tan, and Thinaah Muralitharan step onto the court to represent the Jalur Gemilang on the world stage, the whole nation rises and cheers as one. That is the spirit bstar88 aims to honour by providing Malaysia's most complete badminton betting platform.
At bstar88, badminton gets the serious attention it deserves — not just a minor entry buried in a long list of sports. We offer over 80 betting markets covering all major BWF categories, from Men's Singles and Women's Singles to Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles and Mixed Doubles. This includes BWF Super 1000, Super 750, Super 500 and Super 300 tournaments, as well as prestigious team events like the Thomas Cup, Uber Cup and Sudirman Cup. If you're a serious badminton fan, you'll know exactly how much these distinctions matter.
One thing bstar88 members who follow badminton consistently praise is how quickly the odds update during a match. In badminton, momentum can shift in an instant — a set that starts well for the home favourite can flip within 10 consecutive points. bstar88 updates in-play odds on every point played, so you always have the clearest picture of how a match is unfolding and can make sharper, better-informed betting decisions.
Getting started with bstar88 is straightforward. The minimum deposit is as low as RM 20, and funds are available in your account in under a minute. No hassle, no lengthy process — just the thrill of badminton betting, anywhere you go.
From the world's top team events to the Olympics — all available at bstar88.
More than just picking a winner — multiple ways to bet on every match.
The most straightforward market — pick the player or pair you think will win the overall match. Odds are updated in real-time throughout the game.
Bet with a set advantage. For example, backing Player A at -1.5 sets means they must win 2-0. This boosts the odds for the stronger player.
Predict whether the match will be decided in 2 sets (Over/Under 2.5). A 2-set match counts as Under; a 3-set match counts as Over.
Predict who wins the first set only. Useful when you think the match will go to three sets but expect a particular player to start strong.
More precise betting on the total points in a match or within a specific set, with handicaps to level the playing field between two players.
Place bets while the match is in progress. Odds shift with every point — bet on momentum swings, tactical changes and live court conditions.
For the Thomas Cup, Uber Cup and Sudirman Cup — bet on which team will advance from the group stage or win the overall tournament.
Bet well in advance on who will win the overall tournament. Odds are higher before the tournament begins — giving you a greater chance of a bigger return.
Cash out your bet before the match ends. Lock in your profits or cut your losses when the game turns out differently than you expected.
Few Malaysians will forget the moment Malaysia lifted the Thomas Cup in 1992, 2020 and 2023 — or the feeling when Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan, the women's doubles pair representing the nation at the BWF World Tour, rose from underdog status to topple world-ranked opponents. These moments are more than just sporting statistics — they are shared emotions that unite millions of Malaysians from Perlis to Sabah.
Bstar88 understands that when Malaysian players compete on the international stage, fans want more than just to watch — they want to be actively involved in the spirit of the match. By providing carefully curated badminton betting markets that account for the nuances of the sport, bstar88 allows Malaysian badminton fans to experience a deeper level of engagement with every match they follow.
Since turning professional in 2021, Lee Zii Jia has firmly established himself as a genuine force at the highest level of the game. His aggressive style, lightning-fast smashes, and remarkable ability to turn things around under pressure make every one of his matches unmissable. At bstar88, every Lee Zii Jia match is listed with a full range of markets and odds updated on every point — perfect for fans who want to bet as they watch the national hero in action.
Men's doubles pair Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik are one of the most consistent doubles partnerships in the world over recent years. Combining Wooi Yik's solid defence with Aaron's explosive attack, they have caused upsets against world-class pairs from China, Indonesia and Denmark. Betting on them in key matches can offer excellent value, especially when they enter as underdogs.
One of the biggest advantages of betting on badminton at bstar88 over other platforms is the quality of in-play betting on offer. Badminton is a fast-moving sport — in just 10 minutes, the score can swing dramatically. A player trailing 5-15 can come back to win 21-18 once the momentum shifts. With bstar88's in-play betting, you can capitalise on those momentum swings in real time.
Imagine watching Lee Zii Jia under pressure in the second set, trailing 10-15 against his opponent. The odds for him to win that set might be very attractive at that moment. If you, as a fan who has followed him for years, know that he often stages comebacks in exactly these situations, you can place an in-play bet at favourable odds. That's the edge that local sporting knowledge gives you — something no platform's algorithm can easily replicate.
Bstar88 updates badminton odds on every single point played — not every few minutes, but in true real-time. This means you always see the most current and accurate value on every betting option available to you. The Cash Out feature is also available for badminton bets, giving you full control over your risk and letting you lock in profits whenever you feel the moment is right.

Practical tips from the perspective of a Malaysian badminton fan who bets smartly.
Badminton is heavily form-dependent. A player returning from injury, fatigued from a packed schedule, or coming back after a long break may not perform at their best — regardless of their ranking.
Indoor vs outdoor courts, altitude, and humidity can all affect how the shuttlecock travels. Players who are well-accustomed to specific conditions hold a notable edge.
Head-to-head records between two players can reveal useful patterns. Some players consistently struggle against a particular opponent's style, even when they hold a higher ranking.
In badminton, momentum can shift in an instant. If the player you backed loses 3-4 consecutive points after leading, consider whether to Cash Out or stick with your original bet.
Badminton players compete across multiple tournaments every week. An overpacked schedule can lead to fatigue that directly affects performance — a factor that odds algorithms often overlook.
Set a weekly betting limit and never chase your losses. Consistent bets at controlled stakes are more profitable in the long run than impulsive big wagers.

Real experiences from bstar88 members who follow badminton across Malaysia.
"Been a badminton fan for years, but this is the first platform I've found with truly complete markets for every BWF tournament. During last year's Thomas Cup, I placed a 3-match Malaysian accumulator — all three came through and I walked away with RM 6,800. bstar88 is hands down the best platform for badminton!"
"I absolutely love the Cash Out feature on bstar88 for badminton. There was this Lee Zii Jia match where he'd already taken the first set, but the second was looking really tough. I cashed out right then and locked in my profit — no more stress. Depositing via GrabPay is also super easy and fast. Highly recommended."
"bstar88's odds for Aaron and Wooi Yik's matches are honestly among the best I've found. Other platforms tend to undervalue them, but bstar88 gives fair odds that truly reflect the pair's potential. The in-play is super fast too — I've never missed a chance to place a bet mid-match."
